Firefighters have tackled a series of bin fires in the Lowestoft area.

At least one of the blazes is being treated as 'deliberate' – with crews called out to deal with a spate of bin fires in the past two evenings.

A crew from north Lowestoft fire station and a second crew from Lowestoft South spent almost 30 minutes dealing with a 'deliberate' bin fire in Roman Road last night (Friday). The crews were called out at 9.09pm with the scene cleared by 9.35pm.

Bin fires were also tackled in Melbourne Road and Cambridge Road between 6.15pm and 6.35pm on Friday evening.

A crew from Lowestoft South fire station and a crew from North Lowestoft fire station also tackled a bin blaze in Beckham Road, Lowestoft on Thursday evening. The crews were called out at 9.54pm with the blaze under control by 10.15pm. Other bin fires are understood to have also been reported in the Norwich Road, Stanford Street, Beckham Road and York Road areas of Lowestoft on Thursday night.
