I WOULD like to thank Waveney and Oulton Broad Yacht Club for welcoming the Sailability Access Fleet to Oulton Week Regatta.

It was our first experience of racing against other classes of boats. Some of our sailors had never raced before and for others it was their first racing experience since becoming disabled. We all enjoyed it immensely.

The club was extremely helpful to us and made us very welcome. It has whetted our appetite for racing and, hopefully, we shall be back next year properly organised and better prepared.

Anyone with a disability, however great or small, who would like to try sailing is welcome to join us any Tuesday between 1.30pm and 5pm at Oulton Broad Yacht Club. The access dinghies are specially designed for people with disabilities and will not capsize.

We have a hoist to enable the more immobile people to get into the boats and plenty of friendly, specially trained volunteers to help. If you don't want to sail just come and watch; it's great fun.
