With the majority of schools across Waveney being forced to close today (Wednesday) after a night of heavy snow showers, five schools in the district have already announced closures for tomorrow.
Almost 600 schools across Suffolk and Essex announced closures or partial closures as the Beast from the East hit the region.
And with the treacherous conditions seeing many road users face difficult journeys, the following schools have announced they will be closed on Thursday, March 1.
They are: Worlingham CEVC Primary School, Southwold Primary School in Southwold, Barnby and North Cove CP School, The Everitt Academy in Carlton Colville and The Ashley School Academy Trust in Lowestoft, who tweeted earlier this afternoon that the school 'will be closed again on Thursday, March 1 due to the continuing weather forecast and dangerous conditions on the school site.'
