St Edmund's Church hosted its annual flower festival at the weekend, with church members, friends and community members producing an array of arrangements based on the title of 'Loving and Giving.'

Churchwarden Pat Briggs said: 'The flowers attracted a steady flow of people eager to see the various arrangements. We had 16 displays that were created by members of the congregations and their friends. The theme this year was 'Loving and Giving' with the amateur florists arranging their flowers to depict their chosen charity.'

Ploughman's lunches and refreshments were also on offer at the church centre.

The event is the church's biggest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds going towards the upkeep of St Edmund's and the churchyard.

The floral festival ran over three days from August 5 to 7.
