Fourth arrest in Lowestoft robbery investigation

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a 45-year-old woman on the A12 at Corton on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old man was arrested in Norfolk earlier today and is now in custody at Lowestoft Police Station, where he will be questioned by officers.

A 17-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident answered bail today and has now been bailed to return to Lowestoft Police Station tomorrow.

A 14-year-old boy arrested yesterday, Wednesday 1 July, has been bailed to return to police on July 29.

Matthew Goddard, of no fixed address, appeared at Lowestoft Magistrates Court this morning charged in connection with the robbery. He was also charged with theft, receiving stolen goods and making off without payment in relation to other incidents which occurred overnight Monday / Tuesday.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on July 14.
