Lowestoft Town Sports Academy will be offering a free six-week coaching block to girls in schools within the area.
A grant was awarded by Waveney District Council via the Community Call To Action fund, allowing the club's official community program to reach out to more people within the local community.
Josh Miller, community manager at Lowestoft Town FC, said: 'We hope these sessions become the gateway for the girls to regularly partake in football and encourage the girls to be fit and active. The sessions have already started and will continue to run up to the start of the school summer holidays.'
With the Lowestoft Town Sports Academy running weekly evening coaching sessions for boys and girls at Barnards Meadow, training sessions for U7 and U8 players were launched to 'give them a route into football and the club.'
