Free activities for children will return to Lowestoft's south beach for a fifth consecutive summer.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, from July 25 until August 24, Waveney District Council's popular programme of free children's activities will take centre stage.

The summer activities, designed for children aged between nine and 16, are organised by the council's Active Communities Team and will run during the school summer holidays – with activities including boxing, tag rugby, dodgeball, cricket, rounders, futsal and giant volleyball.

Sign in will be at 12.30pm each Tuesday and Thursday throughout the holidays at Beach Hut 121, south of Claremont Pier. Beach activities start at 1pm.

All events are offered on a 'first come first served' basis and while booking is not required for any of the activities, parental consent must be given. The summer activities are organised by the Active Communities Team and delivered by Positive Futures (Catch 22).
