Parish council - Tony Goldson, the new county councillor for the Halesworth division and PCSO Tracey Mason were welcomed to the September meeting of the group council. Continued concern was expressed at the lack of a post office or outreach service at Wangford, and the pressure on some of the full time offices despite a letter from the Post Office which was read by the clerk. There were limited facilities in Wrentham but this did not help the more elderly people in several villages around Wangford. Despite some random checks on speeding traffic on the C1511 road through Frostenden at Uggeshall Road and Clay Common, traffic was still travelling at speeds excessive to the permitted limit. More police checks were being carried out. PCSO Mason suggested a number of parishes group together to purchase a hand held camera which had been successful in some other villages. There would then be a need for volunteers to operate this. Councillor Gwen Stockdale, Wrentham area coordinator for the local First Responders group reported that two more kits had been purchased and with new volunteers there was now a reasonable cover for the area which included the three parishes served by this council. Council recorded thanks to all those volunteers who were providing this valuable service in a scattered area of population. Clifford Allen was co-opted to fill the South Cove vacancy caused through the resignation of Sheila Pipe. A number of overhanging roadside hedges in Frosteden were reported. The chairman had attended the Rural Community Board workshop at Southwold in July at which no great enthusiasm had been shown for the establishment of such boards which would mean an intermediate level of local within Waveney District, endorsing a long held view of this group council.
