Garage blaze in Kirkley extinguished

FIREFIGHTERS spent almost 30 minutes tackling a garage fire in Kirkley.

One crew from Normanshurst station were called to Kirkley Run, off Victoria Road in the town, to the blaze at 12.

FIREFIGHTERS spent almost 30 minutes tackling a garage fire in Kirkley.

One crew from Normanshurst station were called to Kirkley Run, off Victoria Road in the town, to the blaze at 12.49pm on Tuesday.

The fire crew used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out the flames at the garage, which measured 3m by 5m.

The blaze was quickly dealt with as the scene was cleared by 1.15pm.
