Girl accosted in Lowestoft

POLICE need to trace two men in a blue car who approached a 12-year-old girl in Lowestoft and tried to get her to get into the vehicle.

The accosting happened in Briarwood Road around 6pm to 6.

POLICE need to trace two men in a blue car who approached a 12-year-old girl in Lowestoft and tried to get her to get into the vehicle.

The accosting happened in Briarwood Road around 6pm to 6.20pm on Wednesday, October 1.

The girl was walking towards Westwood Avenue when she noticed a car, with two men inside, following her. They both spoke to her and beckoned the girl to get into the vehicle.

The youngster became scared and ran off towards a relatives house but the car continued to follow her until she approached an adult on Chedgrave Road. At this stage the two men drove off towards The Fairway in the direction of Long Road.

The two men are in their 30s. One wore a red baseball cap and a white T-shirt, the other wore a blue T-shirt and had a goatee beard. The vehicle they were in is described as an old small blue hatchback, about the size of a Ford Fiesta.
