Girl accosted in Lowestoft

Police are appealing for information after a 10 year old girl was accosted in Lowestoft yesterday.

The girl was on her bike at the junction of Famona Road and The Street, at around 4.50pm to 5.10pm, when she was spoken to by a man who was standing next to a silver/grey car.

POLICE are appealing for information after a 10 year old girl was accosted in Lowestoft yesterday.

The girl was on her bike at the junction of Famona Road and The Street, at around 4.50pm to 5.10pm, when she was spoken to by a man who was standing next to a silver/grey car.

The man - who is described as white, aged in his 40s, around 5ft 6ins-5ft 8ins tall of medium to slightly chubby build, with a bald head and wearing glasses, a grey T-shirt and jeans - told her to get into his car, but she refused and cycled away.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, regardless of whether they think they saw anything or not, and anyone with information about the man.
