A 12-YEAR-OLD girl suffered bruising and swelling to her leg following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Kessingland.

The girl was running along the path in Field Lane, close to the junction with London Road, about 7.45pm on Sunday, October 31 when she slipped off into the road.

A white car – possibly a Renault Megane or similar - then clipped her leg, however the driver of the vehicle – described as a white man, aged in his mid 20s to mid 30s, with ginger hair and a beard – did not stop.

It's possible he did not realise she had been hurt.

The incident was reported to a PCSO on patrol around half-an-hour after it had happened on Sunday evening. Police need to speak to the driver and are asking him, anyone who saw the incident or anyone with information about who he is to call PC 203 Roberts at Lowestoft police station on 01986 835300.
