A company charged with regenerating Yarmouth and Lowestoft is chasing investment across the world following its appearance at an exhibition in France.

The 1st East Urban Regeneration Company showed off its plans at the recent MIPIM property and investment exhibition in Cannes and is now working to lure potential investors to the east coast to see what is on offer.

Richard Wright, chairman of 1st East, said: “We were encouraged by the level of interest in the regeneration plans for the two towns, despite the current market conditions.

“We will be eagerly following up all the contacts and leads to get investors and developers to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft to see the scale of the development opportunities to be realised.”

The MIPIM is the biggest event of its kind in the world, attracting more than 28,000 visitors, and 1st East exhibited on the Showcase UK stand.

1st East is one of 22 urban regeneration companies across the UK and was set up to transform brownfield and waterfront areas in Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
