ON Saturday, September 12, from noon until 4pm, Lothingland Middle School, in Jay Lane, Lound, will host a golden garden party to celebrate the school's 50th anniversary. It will also mark the end of an era, as the school faces closure under Suffolk's education reorganisation.
It is hoped that ex-pupils, staff and governors will come to chat, reminisce and enjoy the displays of memorabilia. Light refreshments and music will be on site, but all are welcome to bring their own picnic, which they can enjoy in the pleasant, rural grounds.
