A group of volunteers, who work tirelessly to maintain an award-winning park, have been recognised with a special honour.

The Friends of Nicholas Everitt Park (FONEP) group volunteers recently received a certificate from Radio Suffolk, in recognition of their work in the community.

The group's volunteers, who work hard to ensure the popular park in Oulton Broad continues to look its best, were nominated for the station's 'Good Egg' award, which is for people who go 'above and beyond' in their community.

Interviews with some of the volunteers were heard on the radio station's shows with Lesley Dolphin and Mark Murphy.

The photograph shows some of the volunteers taking a break from their work, proudly showing off their certificate.
