CHILDREN from a Lowestoft school were treated to a day out to remember at Pleasurewood Hills.

The Kids' Day Out event saw 32 pupils and their helpers from the Warren School enjoy a whole day of fun and excitement thanks to local Rotary clubs - and a few rain showers could not dampen their enthusiasm.

Members of Lowestoft South Rotary Club were at the theme park to greet the children as they arrived on their coach.

The fun-packed morning of rides was enjoyed by children and adults alike, with the pirate ships proving a favourite.

After lunch at the Railway Station, kindly supplied by David and Jenny Ferns, and ice creams from Uncle Ron, the fun continued into the afternoon, with the bravest pupils opting for the scariest rides, dragging the adults with them.

For the children, one of the highlights of the day was seeing their teacher Mr Cooper soaked on the water splash.

The children were all smiles, having taken their waterproofs with them. But it was all taken in good spirits.
