Great piece of sportsmanship
WHEN we've had stories of cheating, diving and violence in football how refreshing that on Wednesday, September 2, during an under 12 match between Mutford and Kirkley, which I was refereeing, two players went for the same ball that went out of play.
WHEN we've had stories of cheating, diving and violence in football how refreshing that on Wednesday, September 2, during an under 12 match between Mutford and Kirkley, which I was refereeing, two players went for the same ball that went out of play. Before I could make a decision, Kirkley's Brent Goldspink admitted that the ball came off him last, unfortunately from the throw-in Mutford scored. Although his team lost, Brent was a winner for showing great sportsmanship.
Well done.
