Firefighters have tackled a major blaze at a Yarmouth home this morning. Four appliances from Yarmouth and Gorleston were called to Lichfield Road in Southtown shortly after 8am.

Four appliances from Yarmouth and Gorleston were called to Lichfield Road in Southtown shortly after 8am.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the ground floor blaze with hose reel jets.
The fire took about 50 minutes to put out and police cordoned of the area while preliminary investigations were carried out.
Watch manager John Hudson said there had been a substantial fire in the building's lounge and that the rest of the home was badly smoke logged.
