Train services from Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft were suspended on Friday morning due to a fault.

Greater Anglia said a points failure at Brundall blocked some lines running through the area.

There was disruption, including delays and cancellations, on the line through Friday morning while Network Rail engineers worked to fix the problem.

As of around 11.50am the line had reopened and services between Norwich and Lowestoft and Norwich and Great Yarmouth, via Acle, were running again.

A second points failure at London Liverpool Street station disrupted going out of the station to East and West Anglia.

There were delays and cancellations while engineers fixed the fault, which was caused by a track defect.
