WAVENEY District Council (WDC) and operational partners Waveney Norse have taken the decision to suspend green bin collections for tomorrow.

Andy Wilson-Sutter, general manager for Waveney Norse, said: 'We would like to inform residents that issues with snowfall and ice have led to delays in today's service and the decision has been taken to suspended green bin collections on Friday to enable us to catch up.

'We are using all of our refuse trucks to concentrate on any collections we were unable to make today and ensure we remain on track with blue and black bin collections.'

Green bins that would have been collected on Friday will now not be emptied until the next scheduled collection in a fortnight's time and WDC would like to apologise for any inconvenience this might cause. Please listen out for updates over the coming days.
