Van window smashed as handbag and cash tin stolen in Lowestoft

A handbag and cash tin were stolen from a parked van in Lowestoft after its window was smashed.

Suffolk Police were called to Clapham Road North at around 5.30pm yesterday following reports of a van break-in.

A police spokesman said: “We were contacted shortly after 5.30pm on Thursday, February 28, following reports of a theft from a van in Clapham Road North in Lowestoft.

“An unknown offender smashed the passenger window of the van and stole a handbag and cash tin.

“The bag, which was a black and brown shoulder bag, contained a wallet and identification.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 337 of 28/02/20019.
