IT is still not too late for businesses to enter the inaugural Lowestoft and Waveney Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

There has been a strong list of late entries and organisers will continue to accept entries from businesses and firms of all sizes in the Waveney area.

There has been a strong list of late entries and organisers will continue to accept entries from businesses and firms of all sizes in the Waveney area.

The awards are designed to recognise and reward business success in the region.

Paul Hobbs, of Obbtronic Studio, which is helping to organise the event, said: “November 20 will be a marvellous opportunity to witness and showcase just how many such businesses there are in our district.

“It will be a festival in sound, singing and pictures hosted by Helen McDermott, highlighting those organisations and people who are making a difference to the area.”

There are still opportunities for companies to submit entries for the following categories: Member of Parliament Award for Outstanding Customer Service, Chamber and Presidents Outstanding Business of the Year Award, Jobcentreplus Award for Diversity in Business, The SSDM Award for innovation through Technology, Business Link Start Up Award, The Jeld Wen Manufacturing Award, Hotel Victoria and Carlton Manor Hotel Training and Development Award, Essex and Suffolk Community Impact Award, Lowestoft Journal Excellence in Marketing Award, Motivation Matters Employers Employee Award, One Estates Business Person of the Year Award, The Norton Peskett Innovative Approach to Business Award, Lowestoft College Business Development Award, 1st East Creative Business Investment Award, The PKF Business Growth Award, The Britten Centre Retail Innovation Award.

“That's a lot of awards which could well apply to your company so look to the future and submit your entries now and be part of the celebrations,” said Mr Hobbs.

The awards ceremony is being held at the Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad.

Tickets are now available from the Lowestoft and Waveney Chamber of Commerce costing £30 plus VAT each.
