It has been forecasted that rainfall in parts of the east of England will give accumulations of more then 15mm in 3hours.

The substantial amount of rainfall has caused commuter chaos on the A12, due to standing water on parts of the stretch of road.

Traffic is also moving slowly on the A12 London Road, due to a car colliding with the central reservation.

Weather expert Ken Blowers said to expect the weather to remain changeable and cold throughout December, with temperatures expecting to remain below 8C.
