Stretch of road to be closed for ‘hedge vegetation cutting works’

Drivers are being warned of possible delays as part of a road is closed and traffic diverted.

The warning comes as Suffolk County Council's highways department will be carrying out the work between the A146 Beccles Road and the A1117 Bridge Road in Lowestoft this month.

With the Highways team carrying out the work for four hours on the evening of Monday, October 14, a road closure will be in force, with a diversion route of 3.7km in operation.

According to the Suffolk Roadworks map, "delays are likely" while the work is carried out, with traffic restrictions and a diversion on Cotmer Road.

The work is being carried out from the junction of the A146 Beccles Road and Cotmer Road in Lowestoft, and it will continue until the A1117 Bridge Road.

It states that the "hedge vegetation cutting works" will be carried out between 8pm and 11.59pm, with access to pedestrians and cyclists at all times,
