I AM researching the early life of Anna Hinderer, nee Martin, a 19th century Christian missionary who lived in Lowestoft from about 1839 until her marriage in October 1852.
I AM researching the early life of Anna Hinderer, nee Martin, a 19th century Christian missionary who lived in Lowestoft from about 1839 until her marriage in October 1852.
It was the time when the Rev Francis Cunningham was vicar.
Anna worshipped at St Peter's Church and was very involved in the life of Lowestoft being a Sunday school teacher, parish visitor and teacher of children from the workhouse. She is buried in Martham churchyard.
I wonder whether anyone has any other information which they would be willing to share with me. Do old church magazines survive or newspaper reports?
