Local people are to be given a taste of Lowestoft's rich heritage as part of the annual Heritage Open Days celebration.

Visitors will be able to access and view the decorative interior of Our Lady Star of the Sea catholic church on Gordon Road, whilst there will also be an opportunity to climb up the winding stone stairs of the tower and see the stunning views from the rooftop.

In addition, those interested in the town's history can also view the interior of the Roman Catholic church of St Nicholas on Morton Road, the chapel of ease to Our Lady Star of the Sea.

There will also be organ voluntaries at the churches, both of which will be available to view from tomorrow (September 8) until Sunday, September 10, as part of the four-day event which began today.

No booking is required for either location.
