Householders and dogs helped out of fire

Two people had to be given oxygen by paramedics after a fire in their north Suffolk home this morning.

The small kitchen fire started at about 10.50am in the mid-terrace house in Sotherton Corner near Sotherton, north of Halesworth.

Two people had to be given oxygen by paramedics after a fire in their north Suffolk home this morning.

The small kitchen fire started at about 10.50am in the mid-terrace house in Sotherton Corner near Sotherton, north of Halesworth.

Three dogs were rescued from the house by neighbours and two people were treated by paramedics at the scene because they had breathed in smoke, but they were not taken to hospital.

The fire was put out by 11.50am.
