An anti-bullying campaigner who has spread his peaceful message across America started a week of talks and workshops with high school pupils in Lowestoft yesterday.

Scary Guy, who uses his own life experience to teach young people about the problems caused by prejudice and hate, will be working with students at Kirkley High School all week.

He has been spreading his message around the world for ten years and said that teaching young people to think for themselves is the only way to stop a cycle of abuse and

violence.

He said: “We want to teach children that they have the power to change things and to act differently.

“I'm opening the door for children to communicate and then spread that energy through the community.”

Scary Guy has worked with police and the military and will be meeting political leaders in Sweden next year.
