A hunt has been launched for a man who ran onto the pitch during Norwich city's 2-1 win at home to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

Thousands of fans saw the man run across the pitch during the second half before being led away by a safety steward.

A hunt has been launched for a man who ran onto the pitch during Norwich city's 2-1 win at home to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

Thousands of fans saw the man run across the pitch during the second half before being led away by a safety steward.

However, it has now emerged that there was an altercation when the man was being questioned by Norwich City employees which resulted in the pitch invader fleeing from the ground.

Norwich City and Norfolk police are working together over the incident and have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to.
