Following his mammoth five-hour appearance at the town's Marina Theatre, in Lowestoft, on Saturday, Ken Dodd was tickled pink as he sent a “good luck” message of support to the Trawler Boys ahead of their FA Vase final at Wembley next month.

And as the Blues prepare for an appearance at the home of football they were willed on all the way by the renowned comedian, who himself has shone on stage at some of the world's top venues.

Backing the Blues, he told of how “tickled” he was that they had reached the final and wished them “all the tattiveralius luck” for their big day.
