In agreement with council

AS a naturalist and keen supporter of leaving Kirkley Fen alone I have to agree with the clearing of rhododendrons by Waveney District Council.

They are an invasive species and do nothing but stop the flora that should be growing there.

AS a naturalist and keen supporter of leaving Kirkley Fen alone I have to agree with the clearing of rhododendrons by Waveney District Council.

They are an invasive species and do nothing but stop the flora that should be growing there.

The light now available will help the native plants flourish and grow how, and where, they should. The orchids will spread and invertebrates will breed profusely now that sunshine will warm the soil.

Although this action is doing good to the Fen I stand by reluctance for amateur work to be carried out there.

I have a band of supporters who have joined my "Stop the Fen Work" campaign and anyone wishing to support this can email me at benacre2001@yahoo.co.uk
