Inaugural Christmas fair is celebrated at school in Lowestoft

The first Christmas fair to be held at Meadow Primary School has raised more than £1,000 for school funds.
It was organised by the newly-formed Parents and Carers Association (PCA) at the school.
Families were able to get into the festive spirit with a number of attractions and stalls on offer.
A brass band from Leiston proved extremely popular, while there was also the chance for the children to meet Santa and also the character Elsa from the much-loved Frozen film.
Stallholders could also exhibit a range of items including homemade crafts, fudge and even chocolate pizzas.
Hayley Morgan, co-ordinator of the PCA, said: “It went really well and the event was better than we expected.
“We have not had a Christmas fair here before and we thought it was something we could do.
“We had about 180 adults come through the doors,
and they brought their children with them– who were all happy and excited to be there.
“The games room was a big success for the kids, and we also had a large raffle with donations from local companies.
“We are hoping to raise money for the school to purchase some Ipads for the children, so the fair really helped with that.”
