Waveney District Council has published information for anyone wishing to stand as an Independent candidate in the district or parliamentary elections.
Alongside the UK parliamentary election on May 7, elections will be held in Waveney for all 48 seats on the district council and additionally, all of Waveney's parish/town council seats will be up for election.
Potential independent candidates wishing to stand in either the parliamentary or district council elections can obtain information from Waveney's election team.
This information includes an introduction to the election process, along with a guide to the nomination procedure, postal vote information, electoral registration, poll cards, ballot paper, polling stations and the count. The deadline for information requests is Friday, March 20.
