THE funeral service took place at Wrentham Church followed by a private committal at Gorleston Crematorium on Wednesday, June 11, for Jean Ellen Harrison of Wrentham, who died on May 27, aged 85.

The Rev Leonard Payne conducted the service, which was attended by Jean's family, daughter Stephanie Helsdon, sons Timothy Harrison and Nicholas Harrison and their wives Greta and Gloria. Jean's seven granddaughters, their families and Jean's many, many friends.

Jean was born at Charity Farm, Great Bardfield, Essex, moving to Wrentham at the age of 9. She was a farmer's daughter and lived at Priory Farm with her parents and brother.

After the war Jean and her beloved late husband, Colin Harrison returned to Wrentham in 1946 opening a shop, which over the years slowly progressed into a café in 1962, as it is today. Jean was a lady who was admired by many and was a valued member of the community. She would enjoy running her bed and breakfast and was still very active helping in the café.

She was the heart of our family and will live on through the happy and very much treasured memories she gave to us all.

There was one main floral tribute from all of her loving family.

Jean's family would like to express their thanks for all that attended the funeral service, for all the love and support they have received at this difficult time, the lovely floral tributes and donations received for The stroke Association.

Special thanks to all the staff on the Soloman Ward at The Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, for their attentive care and understanding.

Donations are still being received at Tony Brown Funeral Services, The Funeral Palour, Newcut, Saxmundham, Suffolk, IP17 1EH.
