This evening's meeting (Friday 11 September), which is the first of the new season, will centre on Lowestoft during the last war. Hosted by Chris Brooks, the evening will also include a DVD presentation by Derek Aldred. Held at the society's regular venue of Trinity Methodist Church, High Street, and starting at 7.30 pm, there will also be a short annual general meeting and election of officers for the forthcoming year. Annual subscriptions will also be due. Membership of the Jack Rose Old Lowestoft Society is open to anyone who is interested in the history of the town and costs �2 a year plus 50 pence on the night to cover the cost of refreshments.
