James and Bailey-Rae at Latitude

POPULAR indie band James and singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey-Rae are among the latest acts to be confirmed for this summer's Latitude Festival.

James, the Manchester group best known for their anthemic single Sit Down, and double MOBO award winner Bailey-Rae, join a line-up that includes Brit Award winners Florence and the Machine, indie pop band Belle and Sebastian and New York indie rock quartet Vampire Weekend.

James, the Manchester group best known for their anthemic single Sit Down, and double MOBO award winner Bailey-Rae, join a line-up that includes Brit Award winners Florence and the Machine, indie pop band Belle and Sebastian and New York indie rock quartet Vampire Weekend.

The event on the Henham estate, near Southwold, is one of the region's most popular music and arts festivals and is back this summer for a fifth year running from July 15-18.

Rock band The Horrors, former Pulp member Richard Hawley and Icelandic star Jónsi Birgisson from Sigur Rós have also been confirmed.

Festival organisers have already said ticket sales for this year's event are selling faster than the previous year and an early sell-out has been forecast.

Other artists set to appear are The Maccabees, an indie rock five-piece from Brighton, and Mexican musical duo Rodrigo y Gabriela.

They are joined by Grizzly Bear, French actress and singer-songwriter Charlotte Gainsbourg, The National, a Brooklyn based indie rock band, and xx, a three-piece band from London.

Weekend tickets cost £155 subject to booking fee. Day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday cost £65 subject to booking fee. Weekend ticket prices include car parking and camping. Day ticket prices include parking only.
