People in Lowestoft are being invited to visit a care home and celebrate a free family-friendly event.
Britten Court care home in Lowestoft is opening its doors on Sunday, June 18 – with locals encouraged to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 10am to 4.45pm this weekend, the team at Britten Court on Love Road will be hosting a free family-friendly event as part of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Britten Court has organised a country and western themed garden party, with guests able to make new friends with exotic animals from Zootastic, take part in traditional fete activities including hook-a-duck game and a tin-can alley, and tuck into a barbecue prepared specially by the home's chefs.
Chloe Swarbrick, home manager at Britten Court, said: 'We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Britten Court has to offer. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Lowestoft.'
