In absence of the real thing, a family of life-sized elephant sculptures have moved in to the Africa Alive animal park in Kessingland.

The elephants, made from willow, were made by Suffolk based artist Steve Manning and commissioned by park director Martin Goymour.

They arrived at the park yesterday morning.

The bull, cow and calf are a permanent installation near the rhino house and will be considerably less messy than their living counterparts.

Mr Goymour said he had the idea for the sculptures after seeing the artist's previous work.
