Kessingland residents are being invited to find out more about the broad range of support and advice available to them.

A community information event is being held at Marram Green in Kessingland this Thursday, March 15. Organised by Kessingland Parish Council, Access Community Trust and Waveney District Council's Communities Team, the drop-in event offers residents the chance to meet local groups and organisations who provide a range of support, information and safety advice.

Pat Wernham, of Kessingland Parish Council, said: 'The Parish Council is pleased to support this event which aims to tackle social isolation for older people, which was one of the issues raised during the development of the Kessingland Neighbourhood Plan.'

Information will be available from Citizens Advice, D.I.A.L Lowestoft and Waveney, plus crime prevention advice from Suffolk Police and information on volunteering opportunities, fire safety in home and more.

The event takes place between 2pm and 4pm at Marram Green, Kessingland. Free tea and cake will be available.
