The darts team attended an evening at Framlingham and played two pairs matches, Earl Soham pairs were the victors. The reading group has Friday Night by Joanna Trollope to read this month. This meeting is the occasion when members have the opportunity to vote on the resolutions for the national general meeting held this year at the Albert Hall. The president read the one resolution for discussion, SOS for honey bees. The group were fortunate to have Mike Willis, HM bee health inspector to talk about the work that bees do. He explained the problems that beekeepers are facing and the need for important research into bee virus prevention. With these facts in mind the group were able to make an informed decision on the resolution vote. The exhibition was won by Margaret Parker with a dark pink dianthus and in the competition, a flower arrangement in a cup and saucer, Barbara Eyre came first. Next month the meeting will have gift boxes as the focus.
