Church Notes

WE sometimes have difficulty remembering details of national events; for instance, who won the Academy Awards or which team won the Cup Final.

What we generally do not forget is who has been kind to us, even many years ago as far back as when we were a child.

Conversely we remember clearly those times when people were unkind to us. Even small acts of kindness or ill-treatment affect us for the rest of our lives and remain in our memory.

Jesus tells us that the kingdom of God is like a small seed which is planted in the ground which grows into a large tree. The small experiences of our life help make us who we are. Almost everything in life encourages us to think big.

It is a bad thing to be careless about the little things.

We sometimes talk about “throw-away remarks” as if they are insignificant.

Let us build the kingdom of God by sowing little seeds of kindness.
