Kirkley High School closed today

KIRKLEY High School is closed to all pupils today(Friday) because of an electrical fault.

The school in Kirkley Run, Lowestoft, will reopen on Monday, according to Suffolk County Council.

It comes only days after the school announced plans to become Waveney's first academy in a move that head teacher Richard Pickard described as 'really, really positive news' for its students and the community.

Kirkley High will be sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust.
