Latitude festival to pay for kids fun
LATITUDE festival organisers will open a new activity area for children next week after providing funding for the scheme. Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, will cut the ribbon to unveil the new facility at Brambles Nursery, based at the Reydon and Southwold Children's Centre, on May 14.

Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, will cut the ribbon to unveil the new facility at Brambles Nursery, based at the Reydon and Southwold Children's Centre, on May 14.
The grounds behind the nursery have been developed into an activity and outdoor learning area with funding from Latitude and Suffolk County Council.
The facility is environmentally friendly and a music section includes a rain wheel, a glockenspiel, chimes and a drum.

Decking provides a stage to encourage role play and a digging area is set to one side for the children to care for and plant flowers and vegetables.
There is also a sandpit, a space for story telling, an A-frame, a swing bridge and a tunnel.

Latitude has its own charity donation department that supports local and national charities.
Latitude festival returns to Henham Park Estate, near Southwold, between July 16 and July 19.
