Gym-goers will soon be able to access more facilities at more locations thanks to a new partnership.

The Sentinel Leisure Trust, which runs Waterlane Leisure Centre among other properties, has taken over the running of the fitness and pool facilities at Broadland Holiday Village in Oulton Broad.

Sentinel has plans to make a significant investment in the site, including installing new fitness equipment, a new website and new IT systems. It hopes to have new equipment and IT systems up and running by September.

Stuart Everett, managing director of the trust, said it was an 'exciting acquisition'.

He added: 'It will enable us to reach more people and deliver more health directives.

'It will also bring a new facility into our membership package that is south of the river in Lowestoft for our existing and new members.'

Sentinel's business development manager Chris Ames said: 'We think it's a lovely club so we're going to invest in new gym equipment and website so people can book online and really bring it in line with our other sites.

'It's all part of the Sentinel package - people can come from Yarmouth and use the sites and vice versa. Broadlands is another step.'
