Letter of the week

I WOULD like to congratulate the group of business people and Waveney District Council for helping these people to take up the challenge to "put some pride" back into our town.

I WOULD like to congratulate the group of business people and Waveney District Council for helping these people to take up the challenge to "put some pride" back into our town.

It would be great if others, business and householders alike, would take up the challenge to help clear our streets of unwanted waste. We are a throw away society and many people seem to take that literally, dropping their waste wherever it suits them.

Unfortunately by doing this the responsibility to clear up the mess lands on someone else's shoulders, so please think, before you throw your waste down, instead place it in a waste bin or take it home.

I would be foolish to think that this is suddenly going to happen and that our town is going to be clear of rubbish, so perhaps we could do what these other good folk are doing and help to keep our own patch clean and tidy.

Let us all get involved in Grimewatch and put litter bugs to shame.
