Lifeboat rescues man in Lowestoft

A man was rescued from Lake Lothing in Lowestoft this afternoon.
Yarmouth coastguard were alerted when they received a 999 call just before 3pm reporting that somebody had jumped into the water at Lake Lothing, behind the Asda supermarket car park.
The man was helped out of the water by the South Broads lifeboat and taken to the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club, where he was cared for by paramedics. He was not thought to be hurt.
