WHY are some MP's and councillors so blinkered?
Waveney District Council spokesman Phil Harris saying the increase in car park fees was not to blame for the loss of income; of course it is to blame. I can park in Yarmouth for 60p an hour, Beccles for 40p and Norwich (park and ride) £3.30 per day.
All so much cheaper than Lowestoft, no wonder people are shopping elsewhere, and so many shops are closing down.
Belvedere Road car park is lucky to get six cars parking there. What a waste of space.
This greedy council has even put meters in the seafront car parks at Pakefield which are often used by people at lunch time.
