More than £380,000 of funding has been secured to grow local communities in Lowestoft and surrounding areas for three years.
Community Action Suffolk, working in partnership with Waveney District Council, secured the funding from the Big Lottery fund.
It will see three 'Community Enablers' recruited to work with residents, Lowestoft Town Council, and Lowestoft Rising to develop and strengthen the area's communities.
The project will see people's contributions in workshops and community events used to shape council decisions and improve links to support services.
Cllr Stephen Ardley, deputy leader of Waveney District Council and cabinet member for Merger and Communities said: 'Successfully securing this funding is excellent news and through partnership working with Community Action Suffolk, the project will help to build strong, resilient communities with residents at the very centre.'
