Members of the society have a summer party and a beach hut picnic/coffee morning to look forward to. By now members should have received their newsletter containing information about the local group and about issues which concern those affected by a learning disorder and their families and carers. The local office at 20 Suffolk Road has had a visit by Stuart Thompson who is the regional development manager for Mencap. The office is open from 9am to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is seeking new people for the committee. Anyone who can give up around two hours a month and help make decisions can call 01502 539810.
