A series of events involving staff at a popular Lowestoft bank have helped to boost a worthy cause.

Collections in store at the Lowestoft branch of Santander, in London Road North, combined with funds raised at a bike ride, sky dive and other donations have helped to raise more than £2,000 for the Barnardo's charity.

Andy Burr, area business manager D2 for the Barnardo's charity, and Adrian Nowell, fundraising co-ordinator D2, linked up with the Lowestoft branch of Santander last year as the bank's chosen charity to organise a series of events throughout 2017.

And on Friday, January 19 a cheque for £2182.42 was handed over at the Lowestoft branch to the Barnardo's charity representatives Mr Burr and Mr Nowell. Mr Nowell said: 'This was for money raised in the Lowestoft branch, through branch collections, bike ride, stocks and a sky dive. We would like to thank all the staff and customers who helped and donated in raising this amount.'

The Santander Lowestoft branch was presented with a certificate from Barnardo's to be displayed in the bank.
